Untitled, for now.

Here's a photo I made on my short flight from LA to home (about 40 minutes). There's something I like about this piece, and something I don't like. I have yet to figure out what either of those things are.

Meet Chase, and his dog Sadie :) They were so fun to work with! I'm so glad Chase agreed to come over to school and take photos with me :)

Craig&Daisy, continued!

Here are some photos that I took of my father and dog this past weekend. I took just over 300 photos of the pair, but I picked these four to go in the show, along with the other one. I think I'll have five photos of each person. I quite like the number five.

Craig & Daisy

Here is another photo that will be added to my "Man's Best Friend" show! :) It features my dad and my dog, Daisy. I miss them both so much, so I'm glad that I can use this photo for my show. During thanksgiving break when I go home, I'll be taking more photos of these two, so that way I can have enough photos for my show. I'm currently planning on having 6 (or maybe 5) photos per couple. Exciting stuff!

Music Videos!

While I am a photographer, I spent the whole weekend working on music videos. So busy! But I worked with some lovely people, and I look forward to working with them again. Here are some snapshots I took when I had some downtime from the second music video shoot.

Hello! This is my new photo, and it's for my portrait class. The photo was supposed to represent the world "timelessness". I did this whole photo, from shooting it to editing it, listening to the Mumford & Son's song I Gave You All. Everyone check it out, it's a great song!

Self Portrait

This is a self portrait, done for my foundation photography class. I think it explains myself as an artist very well, and I quite like it.

For my Portraits class I had to take photos of a model with another photographer working with her at the same time. It was so fun! I got to put paint all over my friend Nicole, and then shoot with my friend Will at the same time! These photos are a little different than my normal style, but since the shoot was so fun, I decided to post them.

The Study of Movement

For my foundation photography class we had to do a collage. However, I'm not really one for cutting out photos of magazines and pasting them onto poster board, so I decided to do my collage digitally, with the use of photographs and photoshop. To make this piece, I used 4 photos of ballerinas, and then manipulated them to my wish. I wanted to create a magical, colorful, and distorted view of ballerinas.

Stars Go Blue

My second assignment at calArts, for my portraits class. We had to take a self portrait that described what the camera meant to us, and it had to be in our bedroom! This was a little hard for me, because I normally take photos outside, or in a lighting studio. However, I think it turned out quite nicely.

To do this photo I built a fort of sorts in my room. The background is a light blue bed sheet with yellow stars taped on to it. The tan part is my bed sheet, that I made into some sort of tent. I wanted to show how the camera is a way to show imagination for me, and that I can use it to make up any sort of story I wanted.
This photo was inspired by the work of artist Lissy Elle.

"Stars Go Blue"

This was my first assignment from calArts! We had to pick someone in our class that we didn't know, and then take a portrait of them.

This is Toby.

Some Film...

Here's a collection of some film I've done, both old and new. I have more film that I'll upload later, from my Black&White Film&Print class at calArts.

These two black&white photos were scanned in with a crappy scanner, so sorry for the bad quality! I took those two for my first roll of film for my B&W class at calArts.

The following were taking with my mini diana. It's a fun little camera! All of these photos are double or triple exposures, meaning that they are 2-3 photos put on top of one another. This technique was done on the film, so no editing was taken place after the photos were taken.

Here are some photos I took of my friend, Danielle.

Mumford & Sons

This piece is the last piece I do, before I head off to CalArts! Inspired by Mumford & Sons.
